Leadership, Leah’s way.

Meet Leah.

Dr. Leah Bouchard brings with her a decade of experience in social work, research and evaluation, and nonprofit service. Her work spans across several different communities and populations, having practiced social work and conducted research/evaluation in areas including substance use, child welfare and foster care, LGBTQ+ issues, violence and victimization prevention, rural and resource-deprived communities and addressing systemic inequities.

Leah received her Bachelor of Social Work from Appalachian State University, her Master of Arts in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago, and her PhD in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has worked in policy and at the intersection of research, evaluation and programming in local and statewide nonprofits and conducted national evaluations and research studies for private and public initiatives. She has also coordinated and conducted research at the collegiate level, where she continues to maintain partnerships.

Leah believes research should be used as a force for good—the evidence that guides our organizations towards thoughtful, impactful service.  She can't wait to meet your team and discover the great work you do.
